Training update
Queens Judo Club has started back training. Our new coach is Chris Donnelly, Irish University champions and NI Commonwealth Representative. Classes are held in the PE Centre on a Tuesday night from 6.30-8pm. New members are always welcome.

Also, this year the University are holding a Fresher Induction day. This is held in the Whitla Hall on Wednesday 22nd September. It is an opportunity to demonstrate our sport and for students to see what we do. If you would be free please contact ruth at r.pedlow@qub.ac.uk

University Blues Awards
Three members of the club attained the necessary criteria for the Blue/Half Blue for the season 2003-2004. They were
Paul McKee - Full Blue
Kirsty Briggs - Half Blue
Ruth Pedlow - Half Blue
Club members graduate
Congratulations to Paul on obtaining a First in Mechanical Engineering (Meng) and Ciaran Cosgrave who graduated in medicine
2003 Intervarsities in Cork - QUB Mens team win again
UCC Logo Queens's University successfully retained the coveted Men's team title at the Intervarsity competition in Cork at the weekend. Players from both UU and QUB also scored individual successes. Full results and write up on NIJF website (http://www.nijf.org).
About the club
The club currently has about 30 members, made up of a wide range of abilities. We train on a Tuesday night at 6.30pm in the PEC at Queen's. We are coached by former world champion Stevie McCloskey. The club has a strong social element, with members regularly socialising after training sessions. Everyone is welcome to come along, especially new members.
